Quality Is King | Concrete Innovations
We had the chance to sit down with Charlie from Concrete Innovations and ask him a few questions about what they do and how they do it. Projects range from small residential to large commercial, for both concrete countertops and polished concrete floors., they do it all.
On top of running this business, Charlie and his son are co-founders of the International Concrete Polishing and Staining Conference (ICPSC). This event was created to provide the industry a venue where others can learn techniques, procedures, and look a t the latest industry technology.

Why did you start Concrete Innovations?
I was a concrete flatwork contractor for 30 years, and became a true expert in concrete. My motivation to start Concrete Innovations was to go from being a commodity to a niche, with a focus on something that was based around fulfillment and how rewarding my work felt on a daily basis. My son joined i n 2007, roughly a year after I started the business.
Everyone in my family is in the design field in one way or another and this is my art!
Why did you get into the concrete business?
During my initial studies at ECCI had a concrete contractor hire me and taught me the trade and l decided to stick with it. From 1977 to 2007 I was a concrete flat-work contractor.
How d o you make sure all your quality is top-notch?
Me and my son actually ran the industry convention and w e held training's there (ICPSC). We have a training process where we can take someone brand new not knowing anything about polished concrete and turn them into a professional.
What makes you different?
we do more decorative polished concrete and design-builds while our competition is more generic.
